CRS Designation - Certified Rug Specialist is the highest level of training and education that an individual can obtain when it comes to the cleaning, repair and restoration of handmade rugs and all types of area carpets. There are currently only 41 individuals in the entire USA, that have achieved the CRS designation. There are only 32 Firms in the Country that employ an individual with the CRS designation. To obtain the CRS Designation the individual must attend nine days of classroom education, pass two tests and write a research paper on an approved related subject. We are the only firm with in 50 miles of New York City that employs a CRS.
IICRC Certified Firm - Institute Of Inspection, Cleaning And Restoration Certification is the only Organization in the country that trains, tests and certifies that individuals who are employed by a cleaning firm have taken the appropriate courses in - on location carpet cleaning and upholstery & fabric cleaning. The technicians that we send into your home or business have been certified by the IICRC. To be certified the individual would have to take a two day course in both carpet cleaning and upholstery & fabric cleaning and pass a 160 question test.
ASCR and RAI - ASCR is the Association of Specialists in Cleaning and Restoration that was established in 1946. The name of the organization was recently changed to RIA (Restoration Industry Association). RIA and ASCR is a professional association comprising more than 1,300 member organizations representing over 20,000 cleaning and restoration professionals. RIA members have access and exposure to the greatest collection of expertise in business, their fellow members. That knowledge and expertise is shared during the annual convention, year-round training classes, specialized schools, accreditation and certification programs that provide members with opportunities to increase their technical knowledge and facilitate their career growth.
Wool Care Specialist - RIA (formerly ASCR) in cooperation with (WONZ) Wools of New Zealand have developed a specialized training program so that individuals could take their trade to the highest level of professionalism and education. The Wool Care Specialist has been thoroughly trained and educated on how to properly clean; spot clean and care for carpeting that is made of wool or a blend of wool. The characteristics of wool differ greatly from that of nylon, silk, linen, viscose and other synthetic fibers and the procedures to clean wool is also differs greatly. Individuals who are not trained to know and understand the difference can easily damage wool if not cleaned properly.
